Glory to Jesus Christ! We are happy to announce two enhancements to the Ancient Faith Radio web site. First, you can now listen with Windows Media Player! This could be especially helpful to those of you who were trying to listen at work but were blocked by a firewall. Try the Windows Media Player at work if you have a Windows based PC. There is a good likelihood it will work! Second, we have added Pay Pal to our options for giving to Ancient Faith Radio. Many of you have Pay Pal accounts and may find this a convenient way to give. You can also set up subscriptions with your Pay Pal account to send a monthly gift automatically. We still have our secure Merchant Bank if you prefer not to use Pay Pal and you can always send a check in care of All Saint Orthodox Church. Details on our three giving methods are available by clicking here. We continue to value your support for not only our reoccurring expenses but for the type of equipment we felt we needed to purchase this week. This new equipment (a Mackie sound board and a telephone hybrid unit) cost about $1000 and it will allow us to record telephone interviews to help keep you informed on current events in the Orthodox world. On the day the equipment arrived we received an email from Fr. Peter-Michael Preble, a priest from Massachusetts, who is in Louisiana to assess damage from hurricane Katrina for IOCC. He volunteered to call in reports from the damaged area and those reports should begin this weekend. He had no idea we had just that day taken delivery on this equipment. God's timing to be sure. Speaking of IOCC, I know many churches will be taking a collection this weekend to help IOCC in their relief efforts. Let's all be generous. Ancient Faith Radio will also be broadcasting updates from IOCC periodically throughout the weekend. Finally, we have been thrilled with the results of our on line survey. About 650 responses have come in so far and the comments have been overwhelmingly encouraging. We will post the results soon. Thanks for listening and thanks for supporting Ancient Faith Radio!
