This is the Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Orleans before Katrina.
This is Holy Trinity Cathedral during the current flooding from Lake Pontchartrain. The aerial photo was taken by NOAA approximately August 31, 2005. Clearly the flood waters have surrounded the church. At the bottom of the photo are what appear to be waves in the water, reflecting the sunlight. The silver roof membrane appears to be torn off the Hellenic Center, exposing what may be orange insulation. The good news is that the structures appear to be intact! -- Jim Hansel, Old Greenwich, CT
