1) PRAY: Please
continue to pray for the well being of the
hundreds of thousands who have been displaced by
this disaster.
2) STAY INFORMED: More types of assistance will
be needed in the coming weeks as people relocate
and rebuilding begins. When this information is
available it will be shared with our parishes
and faithful. Check out the Archdiocese web site
often for the most current information at:
www.goarch.org.
3) GET INVOLVED: Live your Orthodox Christian
faith by getting involved in various relief
efforts as they become available to you.
4) DONATE: At this time please consider a
donation to the relief efforts that will assist
our Greek Orthodox communities in the Gulf Coast
area and for the general recovery effort. Online
donations may be made at: http://www.goarch.org.
Donations will also be collected in Church this
Sunday.

"In this difficult period of aftermath, we are
moved as Greek Orthodox Christians to remember
the inspiring words of St. Paul, "weep with
those who weep" (Romans 12:15) and "put on
heartfelt compassion" (Colossians 3:12). Knowing
of your boundless generosity and your abiding
love one for another, we are confident that you
will do whatever you can to offer as much
comfort as possible to our neighbors who have
been affected by this tragedy. May God keep you
always in the shelter of His loving protection."
His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios
Archbishop of America
I urge all of you to pray for our suffering
brothers and sisters, not only Orthodox, but our
friends, neighbors and fellow citizens. I urge
all of our priests to hold Paraklesis and for
the Faithful to attend so that we may pray to
Almighty God for the strength and wisdom to
assist the victims of this unimaginable
catastrophe.
His
Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta
