COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE

International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is an international relief and development organization of Orthodox Christians which has provided more than $200 million in assistance to 29 countries since 1992.

IOCC is searching for a highly motivated, experienced Communications Associate to implement IOCC's communications program, including extensive writing, management of IOCC websites, media relations, archiving of media materials, coordination of internal communications; overseeing inventory, tracking and distribution of all communication products; and performing other related duties.

The successful candidate will possess a high degree of cultural and political sensitivity and diplomacy. The variety of responsibilities assigned require that the candidate demonstrate skill in moving easily from the big picture to the detailed work required by the position: managing multiple projects simultaneously, producing publications, meeting deadlines, and developing and sticking to budgets.

Successful candidates will have a University degree in a journalism, public relations or English program or equivalent education and experience; Five years experience in public relations or communications; Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, take initiative and to work in a team environment.
