FL [OCMC]
The
Orthodox Christian Mission Center [OCMC]
here is seeking an Orthodox Christian to serve
as communications director.
OCMC is the official international mission
agency of the Standing Conference of Canonical
Orthodox Bishops in the Americas. It's task is
to help Orthodox Christians respond to Christs
call to preach, teach, baptize, minister to the
poor, and make disciples of all nations.
The communications director is responsible for
creating and expanding awareness of OCMC among
Orthodox Christians in America through print and
internet-based materials. Key responsibilities
include serving as managing editor of OCMC's
magazine, managing production of promotional
materials, writing press releases and mission
news bulletins, overseeing media relations,
developing and maintaining the OCMC website, and
developing and implementing marketing strategies
that bring OCMC before the eyes, minds, and
hearts of Orthodox faithful in America.
The candidate for this position should be a
college graduate, preferably with a degree in
the communications field, with strong written
and oral communication skills. Willingness to
relocate to St. Augustine, FL, and interest in
seeking a long-term position are also required.
Previous experience in public relations,
marketing, print media, broadcast, and website
design is preferred.
