Orthodox Youth Meeting in Belgium 2005

From February 25th (evening) till February 27th (afternoon), the Orthodox Youth in Belgium is organising it's 11th ORTHODOX YOUTH MEETING. This year the place to be will be Sint-Joris-Weert, between Leuven and Wavre, 30km (20mi) from Brussels.

The theme of the meeting will be "FOR THE PEACE OF THE WHOLE WORLD," a phrase from the Great Litany of Peace.

The keynote speaker will be JIM FOREST, secretary of the Orthodox Peace Fellowship of the Protection of the Mother of God (www.incommunion.org). The program will also include workshops, walks in the Meerdaal Forest, free talks, good food, a party, liturgical services and of course, the Divine Liturgy.

All Orthodox Youth aged between 16 and 35 are welcome.  There is room for 75 people. Accommodation costs 50-55-60 EUR/USD (depending on age). Travel costs are not included. St-Joris-Weert is easily accessible by train (line Leuven-Wavre). We can however collect you

at the Leuven railway station. Leuven is about 25' by train from Brussels North Station, directly connected to Brussels Airport.

The Orthodox Youth in Belgium is an associated member of SYNDESMOS (www.syndesmos.org), the World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth.
