Special Olympics Training Camp Sponsored by Antiochian Archdiocese’s Teen SOYO

Each year NAC Teen SOYO hosts, runs, and funds a one week sports training camp at the Antiochian Village for the Special Olympic Athletes of the State of Pennsylvania. This program began in 1979 by a group of NAC Teen SOYO members who wanted to give back to God for all the blessings God had bestowed upon them. Teen SOYO members continue to come each year from all over North America to help run this program along with the staff from PASO (Pennsylvania Special Olympics). The teens of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America raise the $35,000 - $40,000 this program costs each year on the third Sunday of October – Special Olympics Awareness Day.
