On Friday October 28, 2004 the Local Holy Synod of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America selected three new Diocesan Bishops from among the candidates nominated by the Special Convention General Assembly (2004). The three bishops elect are: Rev. Fr. Mark Maymon has been selected as Bishop of Toledo and the Mid-west Rt. Rev. Archimandrite Thomas Joseph as Bishop of Pittsburg and the East Rev. Fr. Rafeek Mufarrij as Bishop of Ottawa and Upstate New York More information will be forthcoming.
