Reading Harry Katopodis’ last sentence of his article: "Let unity happen when God wants it", reminds me of a professor I had when I was a student in Rome - he said, and I quote: "The people of the Mediterranean world think differently from you Americans - in America when your car breaks down you want to fix it as soon as you can, but here in the Mediterranean world when a car breaks down we say, “Let God fix it"!!!  I would think that if something is broken, I would fix it - I didn't realize that the Church is like that car in the Mediterranean world!!!
