From November 30 to December 2, 1994, the canonical Orthodox Christian Bishops of North America all met together for the first time in the 200-year history of Orthodoxy in North America. They prayed together, discussed and signed two protocols on the Church in North America and Mission and Evangelism. The intention of the meeting was that a new era would begin by working together to coordinate the ministries of Orthodox Christianity in North America. Orthodox Christian Laity (OCL) is working to keep this dream alive and foster the development of this new era of Orthodoxy in North America. Come, Rejoice and Celebrate the anniversary of this event, which foreshadows the future, with Thanksgiving, Prayer and Discussions.
