In Response to “I Talk to a Higher Father”

Dear Editor,

As a graduate of Holy Cross, I regret that I have only a trade school education; therefore, I would hope that Ambassador Theros would be kind enough to help me find answers to the following questions.

Is abortion “wrong” or is it a “sin?”

How often are priests (or clergy of any profession) confronted with the moral dilemma of helping a family choose between the life of the baby and the life of the mother?

One of my two sons was active earlier in utero. Does this mean that there would have been different times in those pregnancies that abortion would have been acceptable?

Sincerely,

Father Aris P. Metrakos
Columbia, SC
