A procession of nuns and priests winds through the streets of Thessaloniki during yesterday’s enthronement of the new bishop for Greece’s second-largest city, Anthimos, until now bishop of Alexandroupolis. The see was at the heart of a vicious turf war, ended this month, between the Church of Greece and the Istanbul-based Ecumenical Patriarchate.
