Christ the Teacher Academy to Open in September, 2004

Allentown, PA – The JTK Foundation has recently announced plans to open the Christ the Teacher Academy in time for the start of the new academic year, beginning in September 2004.

This Pan-Orthodox school, to be located in the Lehigh Valley area, will be open to students and families of all religious denominations who seek to educate their children in a caring, faith-based environment.  Applications for September enrollment are now being accepted.

According to Rev. Deacon Joseph Kreta, JTKF Director, “The Foundation will initially focus on the opening of Christ the Teacher Academy – a college preparatory K-12 Orthodox Christian School – and Christ the Savior Chapel.  These events are both planned for August 2004 and donations are now being accepted.  It is our fervent hope that, with God’s blessing, we will be able to develop this facility into a full-scale educational complex complete with retreat center, library, day care facility, computer data lab, video studio, conference center, etc.”

The next organizational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11th, 2004.

In addition, donations can be sent to:
