2nd ANNUAL COME RECEIVE THE LIGHT SUPPORT DINNER SCHEDULED Ft. Lauderdale (April 15) Fr. Chris Metropulos, founder and co-host of Come Receive The Light, the national Orthodox Christian radio program, announced today that the Orthodox faithful of Southern California will be hosting the 2nd Annual CRTL Support Dinner May 20th at the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Los Angeles, CA. The first CRTL Support Dinner last year at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in LA successfully launched the program on local radio in the area by raising over $20,000 in one night. Since that successful dinner, the program has aired each Saturday at 3 PM on AM 740 KBRT. Fr. John Bakas and the faithful at St. Sophias Cathedral will host this years dinner to insure the program continues to offer an Orthodox Christian witness on the radio in Southern California. There is limited seating so people are being asked to reserve their seats by calling toll free 877-273-2348. Deadline for reservations is May 14. This Los Angeles dinner will be unique since it will be filmed for use in the promotional pieces for the growing Come Receive The Light ministry. Media Director, Chuck Powell, will also be speaking on Sunday May 23rd at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church on Alton Parkway in Irvine, sharing his own journey into Orthodox Christianity from his years as a Pentecostal pastor. The service starts at 10 AM.
