Putin offers Easter greetings to Russians, praises Christians MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin praised Russian Christians and expressed confidence that they would continue "to help in every way to strengthen public accord and the moral foundations of society." "Easter holds a special place in the spiritual life of millions of Russians," the Kremlin quoted Putin as saying in an Easter address to the nation. "Today the Christians of Russia make a significant contribution to the maintenance and enrichment of traditions of charity, good-neighborliness, and mutual assistance and to an interdenominational dialogue. And it is symbolic that followers of all Christian Churches are celebrating Easter together this year." Putin expressed confidence that Russian Christians would continue "to help in every way to strengthen public accord and the moral foundations of society."

welfare to all those who celebrate the
Resurrection of Christ," he said. |
